INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup urad dal
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- Sufficient water
- Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper corn
- 2 to 3 green chillies
- 4 tablespoon onions
RECIPE:
- Firstly, wash and soak dal for atleast 4 to 5 hours.
- Grind the dal with salth and very little ice cold water,sprinkle water evenly each time.
- Scrape off the sides and grind again.
- Batter should be fluffy and white.
- Now, transfer the batter to a bowl.
- You can add a pinch of baking soda, crushed pepper, green chilies and chopped onions.
- Heat oil in a deep pan till hot enough.
- Dip your fingers in water.
- Take small portions of this batter and make a ball then slightly flatten your thumb.
- Next dip your thumb in water, make a hole in the centre.
- Face your palm tovards the oil, drop in the hot oil by shaking your fingers gently.
- Fry it on a medium flame till they turn golden.
- Your Vada is ready to eat.
