INGREDIENTS:
- 2 potatoes
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 3/4 cup chopped cauliflower
- 1/2 cup chopped carrot
- 1 large onion
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tomatoes
- 1/2 cup capsicum
- 1.5 teaspoons red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin- coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon ready-made Pav bhaji masala powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves
- 8 Pav buns...
RECIPE:
- Take all the vegetables as per the ingredients.
- Cut it into small pieces after washing thoroughly.
- Now transfer chopped potatoes, cauliflower, carrot and green peas into a 2-3 liter capacity pressure cooker.
- Then add 1/2cup water and salt to taste.
- Now close the pressure cooker with a lid and cook over medium flame for 2-3 whistles.
- Turn off the flame and open the lid after pressure releases [it takes 5-8 minutes].
- Now mash the boiled vegetables gently with a potato masher.
- Heat 2 tbsp butter and oil together in a pan.
- Add chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste to it.
- Saute it and then add chopped capsicum, chopped tomato and salt.
- Saute until tomatoes and capsicum turns soft.
- Then add 1.5 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/4teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon cumin-coriander powder and 1 teaspoon ready-made Pav bhaji masala powder.
- Stir and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add 3/4 cup water, mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Now add boiled and mashed vegetables and 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
- Mix it well and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Turn off the flame and mix it by adding coriander leaves.
- Cut the Pav buns horizontally into halves.
- Heat tava over medium flame, add butter and place Pav buns.
- Fry for 30-40 seconds and transfer it to a plate.
- And transfer prepared bhaji to a serving bowl and garnish it.
- Your Pav bhaji is ready...
