How to make the Best Indian Cheese Dishes - Matar Paneer....Easy way of making restaurant style at home...

INGREDIENTS:

  • Oil
  • 2 cardamoms
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 cup onions
  • 1 1/2 cup tomatoes
  • 10 cashewnuts
  • 1/2 salt
  • Butter
  • 1 inch cinnamon 
  • 1 small bay leaf
  • 3/4 to 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric 
  • 3/4 to 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 to 3/4 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup green peas
  • 1 to 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1 green chili
  • 250 grams Paneer 
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 3 to 4 tbsp cream

RECIPE:

  1. Firstly, heat a pan and add 1 tbsp oil.
  2. Then add 2 green cardamoms, ginger and garlic. Saute just for a minute.
  3. Add chopped onions and saute them. 
  4. Then add chopped tomatoes, salt and turmeric.
  5. Saute for 2 to 3 mins.
  6. Cover the pan and cook on a medium flame until onions and tomatoes turn mushy.
  7. Add cashews and turn off the stove.
  8. Cool the mixture and transfer to a blender jar and make a smooth past eby adding water.
  9. Then heat a pan with 2 tbsps oil.
  10. Add cinnamon and a small bay leaf.
  11. You can skip them and just add 1/2 tsp cumin. Fry it for a min.
  12. Pour the onion tomato puree. Add chili powder, garam masala and coriander powder. You can also add the spice powders.
  13. Fry this until the mixture.
  14. Then add boiled green peas or frozen peas.
  15. Pour 1 to 1/4 cup water.
  16. Mix it well.
  17. Cover and cook until the gravy thickens.
  18. Add chili, paneer and kasuri methi. Mix gently and cover.
  19. Cook for 2 to 3 mins.
  20. Add chopped coriander leaves and cream, mix iot well.
  21. Transfer it to a serving bowl.
  22. Your Matar Paneer is ready to eat.
  23. Serve it with basmati rice.
  24. ENJOY MAKING AND EATING IT!
